Sri Lanka player makes fun of Bangladesh with ‘Naagin’ dance after a thrilling win

Thursday night cricket fans enjoyed every moment of the match between Srilanka and Bangladesh. In the Asia Cup group B match Srilankan team beats Bangladesh in a nail-biting encounter.

Group B is the group of death as all three teams can beat any team on his day. Afghanistan had beaten both Srilanka and Bangladesh in group stage matches to make it to qualifiers so yesterday’s match did or die for both teams.

Batting first Bangladesh manage to set a decent target of 183, Major contribution came from Mehidy Hasan Miraz-38 runs and Afif Hossain-39 runs. Mosaddek Hossain‘s quick-fire 24 runs from just 9 deliveries helped Bangladesh in reaching 183.

In reply, Srilankan had a good start to their innings scoring at a stay run rate but lost 2 quick wickets in the sixth over to Ebadot Hossain. Kusal Mendis scored a half-century to keep his team in the race to win. In the last few overs, Chamika Karunaratne and A Fernando keep their nerves to ensure that team reaches 184. The match keep swinging either way but it was team Srilanka who made it and register the win.

In 2018 team Bangladesh performed the ‘Naagin’ dance, after beating Sri Lanka in the final league game of the Nidahas Trophy. After 4 years it was payback time for Srilanka as cameras captured a charged-up Karunaratne coming up with the ‘Naagin’ dance to mock the Bangladesh team.
