Amenities inside the 10,000-acre park contain the Lee Valley VeloPark / Lee Valley Park Authority
Lee Valley Regional Park Authority (LVRPA) has appointed Greenwich Leisure Constrained (GLL) to control its selection of sports facilities on a 10-12 months agreement.
GLL, a charitable social organization which operates facilities underneath its “Improved” model, is established to choose in excess of the LVRPA’s 6 venues from 1 April 2022.
Located in a 10,000-acre park, the 6 amenities are the Lee Valley VeloPark, Lee Valley White H2o Centre, Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre, Lee Valley Athletics Centre, Lee Valley Riding Centre, and the new £30m Lee Valley Ice Centre, which is established to open later on this 12 months.
Peter Bundey, CEO designate at GLL, claimed: “Lee Valley’s sporting venues are greatly recognised as getting best in course, we are excited to be doing the job with the Park Authority and its groups of professional venue administrators and personnel, as we get on this new purpose.
“We will get the job done intently with Lee Valley Regional Park Authority to further more create the existing amenities, undertake progressive investments, maximise participation and continue to boost the high quality of daily life for regional communities and the broader area.

Close to 100 permanent and 150 adaptable staff will transfer across to GLL as portion of the agreement.
