Faulkner’s highlight shot keyed NKU victory more than UIC

Trevon Faulkner's 3-pointer from three-quarters court before the halftime buzzer Friday night got NKU some national exposure.

Northern Kentucky junior guard Trevon Faulkner place himself and the Norse in the nationwide highlight Friday evening. 

Faulkner strike a 3-pointer from a few-quarter court at the halftime buzzer Friday night at BB&T Arena, encouraging the Norse defeat UIC 72-68. He took a rebound from a missed shot, built a pair of dribbles and introduced a shot from the 3-issue line on the UIC facet, giving NKU a nine-position guide at halftime, 32-23.

The shot took the No. 4 spot on the SportsCenter Major 10 Performs that aired on ESPN Saturday morning, according to Brady Laber, who termed the play on-air.
