France ambassador to Kenya Aline Kuster-Menager is optimistic that Kenya will have a fantastic contingent and very good final results at the 2024 Olympic Video games that will be held in Paris, France.
Speaking in Iten, Elgeyo Marakwet County yesterday, Menenger throughout the inaugural 10km Iten-Paris Home of Champions held in Iten.
In the celebration, Miriam Chebet and Josphat Chumo ended up the women of all ages and gentlemen winners to mark the Worldwide Olympics Day.
Chebet, the winner of women’s 10km title in 32:54.6 was adopted by Cynthia Chemweno (33:15.8) and Millicent Kemboi completing the podium in 34:05.1.
Chumo gained the men’s title in 28:55.2 beating Josphat Melly to next in 29:36.6 and Felix Kurui came third in 29:40.7.
Menager claimed that the party is part of preparations for the 2024 Olympic Online games that will be staged in her property nation.
Menager said they are partnering with the Athletics Kenya and other partners to promote the sport in the country forward of the 2024 Olympic Game titles.
“The other detail is to also use the activity to stop gender-dependent violence which is on the increase in particular in athletics and this is some thing that has to be stopped,” stated Menager.
