We all have a role to play when it comes to the elimination of racism in our community. The City of Winnipeg is committed to continued action in the months and years ahead to help address the issue of racism so we all can create a city that is welcoming for everyone.
Events
Throughout the year, we are organizing a number of activities that will explore ways to understand, identify, and eliminate all forms of racism. We welcome everyone to attend these events.
More events will be added here as details are confirmed. Please continue to check back.
Winnipeg Public Library Resources
The Winnipeg Public Library has compiled several Info Guides on a variety of anti-racism related topics. Each one is put together by a librarian who has selected articles, videos, books, and more about a topic. They are a great place to start – or keep on – learning.
Anti-Racism in Sport
The City of Winnipeg is a partner on Immigration Partnership Winnipeg’s Anti-Racism in Sport campaign. The campaign seeks to help people identify, disrupt and eliminate all forms of racism in sport in Winnipeg through multiple activities, including: a research project, presentations, stakeholder training, public awareness, and the Anti-Racism in Sport Accord.
